The 2023 Grenache hails from Armory Vineyard in the Adelaida AVA of Paso Robles, CA. Armory Vineyard is located due west of Halter Ranch and Tablas Creek Vineyards. It sits just over 14 miles from the ocean (as the crow flies). The Adelaida AVA is generally a warmer AVA on the west side of Paso Robles, creating dense structured fruit with lots of natural acidity. The entire Armory Vineyard is dry farmed, so it does not get any irrigated water other than the natural rainfall mother nature provides. 

Aged 16 months in nuetral French Oak Barrels and contains 30% whole-cluster stem inclusion

57% Grenache, 38% Syrah, 5% Petite Sirah

The 2023 Red Blend was a wine created on the blending table. It combines two different vineyards we got in 2023: Armory Vineyard and Jack Creek Vineyard. Armory is the warmer climate of the two vineyards, where we sourced Grenache from. Jack Creek is the cooler site that provided us with Syrah. The inspiration was to see how these two polar opposite sites and varieties could come together to show their best traits. We felt like our Red Wine program in 2023 lacked a bridge between the Grenache and Syrah as they stood on their own. We’re always trying to make Grenache pretty and feminine, while Syrah should be textural and masculine. But we felt like there needed to be a wine that stood between the two, a Ying and Yang wine that expressed all the best qualities of each variety. This wine revealed itself when we landed roughly on a 60/40 blend: 60% Grenache, 40% Syrah.

It maintains the 30% whole-cluster stem inclusion and a combination of neutral and once-used French oak barrel aging for a total of 16 months.

The 2023 Syrah is one of our favorites from the vintage. It comes from Jack Creek Vineyard; a cool climate site within the Willow Creek AVA of Paso Robles, CA. Jack Creek is one of the furthest west vineyards in Willow Creek, just under 10 miles from the ocean (as the crow flies) and sits at the base of the York Mountain AVA. Being so far west, the vineyard usually picks pretty late in the season and gets lots of hang time. This is great for grape maturity and fermentation extraction, while also providing us with lots of fun aromatics and flavors. This Syrah is almost as if cool climate Syrah meets Paso’s classic warm climate. It’s the best of both worlds. This Syrah is like no other in Paso.

Also fermented with 30% whole-cluster stem inclusion and spent 16 months in once-used french oak barrels.

The 2024 Chardonnay is similar to the previous 2023 Chardonnay but with amplified freshness and aromatics. It embraces fresh fruits and acid with a long lasting voluptuous mid pallet. That being said, no two vintages are the same. So the 2024 rendition is different than it's predicessor, but we're proud of the distinction between the two and hope you enjoy this new direction and can compare the two.

The 2024 Chardonnay EXT is the Chardonnay you know and love from Cutbow. Much more similar to the 2023 Chardonnay than the 2024 Chardonnay from the spring release. We wanted to show two different styles of Chardonnay in 2024. So we bottled two barrels after 5 months of aging, and this third barrel has gone a total of 9 months aging on lees in nuetral french oak barrels. The early bottling of Chardonnay captures freshness and purity of fruit. This extended barrel aged chardonnay is classic chardonnay: texture and opulence, yet maintaining acidity and freshness. This wine is unfined, unfiltered, and unadulturated.

The 2025 Rosé is a lighter, refreshing wine for those hot summer days. The pallet blossoms with hints of rose petals, mouth watering acidity, and juicy strawberries. Aromatics include white peach, spring florals, and fresh citrus. A wine you can’t have just one glass because it keeps you coming back for more. 100% Grenache
